Garuda = the mythic "king of the birds," The word is usually rendered into English as "eagle," though according to one dictionary the name literally means "devourer" because Garuda was originally identified with the "all-consuming fire of the sun’s rays. Garuda is the creature associated with lord VISHNU. His yantras are represented in the four corners since he upholds the world. Lord Vishnu is known as the preserver of the universe. The painting is also set against the backdrop of the sacred geometry of the Flower of Life design which depicts the fundamental forms of space and time and the patterns of creation as they emerged from the "Great Void." Everything is made from the Creator's thought.

For Use During Meditation.

By meditating on the eagle, the four yantras of Vishnu, and the flower of life, one connects with all of creation and the forces of life and preservation. The mantra to recite while contemplating this image is the major mantra for Vishnu:

“Om Namo Narayana”

Narayana is the name of Vishnu as the preserver of the world. To own this painting will bring prosperity, good fortune and stability in family life.
